The WE in the World booth at the just concluded APHA 2025 Annual Meeting offered demos of tools and data for change, stories of transformation and joy, and resources for practical guidance.

This month, we return from APHA with a renewed sense of purpose and urgency. The conversations we had across the exhibit hall, in crowded sessions, and during impromptu hallway gatherings confirmed what many of us suspected: public health is at a crossroads, but the energy for collective action is stronger than it has been in years.

Practitioners are seeking clarity, connection, and effective tools to support their work. They’re tired, but also ready. Ready to build new systems that don’t collapse with political winds. Ready to share power with communities. Ready to innovate rather than merely endure.

At WE in the World, that is our lane. We build the frameworks, data infrastructures, and coalitions that help leaders do practical, powerful work amidst federal contraction and misinformation chaos. And this month, we’re highlighting what we’ve heard, what we’ve learned, and how we move forward together.

The public health landscape is shifting beneath our feet. Federal workforce cuts, reduced funding pipelines, and the erosion of CDC authority have shaken practitioners across the nation. At APHA, this pain showed up in every conversation, yet it was matched by a determination to rebuild from the ground up.

Getting to know our changemaker ecosystems and practical powerful tools for public health champions at APHA 2025.             

This is where multisolving becomes essential.  Whether it’s misinformation, chronic disease, climate anxiety, workforce resilience, or community safety, the problems are interconnected, and so are the solutions.

While at APHA, we highlighted how WE’s interconnected ecosystem WIN Measures,  the P2PHE model, ABCs of Equity, and the Community Bill of Rights are helping leaders respond with clarity and courage.
